Release 1

Born in Brazil on 03/27/1977. At the age of 3 years old began his studies of music and piano with Eunice Catunda. After 10 years dedicated to the study of flute, emphasizing classical and barroque repertoire (teachers: João Dias Carrasqueira, Hélio Buck and Wilson Rezende), started his studies of the saxophones within the music styles of jazz and bossa-nova. Teachers: Hugo Hori, Sergio Lyra, David Richards, Vinicius Dorin and Giancarlo Maurino (Saint Louis School, Italy 96/97). On 2002 achieved the bachelor degree on jazz saxophone at MSM (Manhattan School of Music) New York, USA. Teachers: Steve Slagle e Dick Oatts.

Release 2

During this period, performed with the following latin jazz stars: Hilton Ruiz, Candido Camero and Bobby Sanabria (Grammy nominee on the year 2001); with Dom Salvador, legend of bossa-nova; Darryl Hall, famous jazz bass player (sideman of the groups of Regina Carter and Ravi Coltrane, son of John Coltrane); was a member of the big band version of the “Choro Ensemble” (group of great success in NY) and of Jorge Amorim’s quartet (renown percussionist). Back to Brazil on December 2002, has performed and in some cases recorded with: Filó Machado, Helcio Milito, fundador do Tamba Trio; Daniela Mercury and Martinho da Vila with Wagner Tiso’s orchestra; Zeca Pagodinho, Ivete Sangalo, Jorge Aragão, Carlinhos Brown; Fafá de Belém, Cristina Buarque, Marília Medalha, Célia Vaz, Pery Ribeiro and Elton Medeiros; Renato Braz, Monica Salmaso, Vanessa da Matta, Mariana Aydar, Céu, Mariana Belém, Cris Aflalo, Rubi, Otto, Silvia Machete, Toni Garrido, Badauí, Ana Costa, Diogo Nogueira and Fabiana Cozza: stars of nowadays Mpb (brazilian popular music); Banda Glória, “gafieira”(samba and choro big band) of great success; Itiberê Orquestra Família and many other artists and groups.

Has been performing with his group regularly in several venues using different group sets.
